At Seriously Happy Homes we’re mostly about the *inside* of your home, but curb-appeal counts when it comes to having a happy home! It can be terrifying to choose a color for the outside of your home (it’s a lot of paint and lot of money if you get it wrong!). So we thought we’d share some of our favorite home exterior paint colors before-and-afters!!

This house below was beige-on-brown-on-beige and didn’t feel very bright and inviting. Together with the clients, we chose a bold blue color that was crisp and cheerful!

For the body of the house, we suggested a lovely, timeless blue: Benjamin Moore’s Providence Blue 1636 in a satin finish. For the trims, eaves, and railings, we recommended Benjamin Moore’s Frostine AF-5 in a semigloss sheen. Then, for a pop of happy color, we recommended Benjamin Moore’s Citrine AF-370 for the front door. Lastly, around the back (not shown in the pic) we chose Benjamin Moore’s French Press AF- 170 for a warm, rich finish.

The owners of this next house already had a color they liked – yellow – but wanted it to be brightened up a bit! Now it’s friendly and welcoming as ever!

For this home, we selected Benjamin Moore’s Citrine AF-370 for the body of the house. For the windows, trim, and foundation Wall, Benjamin Moore’s Mascarpone AF-20. And finally, we recommended Amsterdam AF-550 for the porch floor to contrast all of the fun yellow with a cool blue-gray. Overall this home stayed true to its old color scheme, getting a lovely refresh with the new colors.

This next charming house needed a color facelift. Choosing the right color was a bit tricky because *she* likes neutrals and *he* craves color! Together we landed on a cheerful blue with enough complexity to be timeless and easy to live with. A perfect compromise for both of them!

For the beautiful body color of this home we used Benjamin Moore’s Atmospheric AF-500 in a satin sheen. For the trim and deck rails, we picked out Snowfall White OC-118. And (around the back of the house) we suggested Benjamin Moore’s Satchel AF-240 for the decking. This complements the lovely wood door and brick accents on the front of the home.
