Fun, Fresh, and Sophisticated

There is a difference between funky-old and funky-awesome. A lot of time when we buy a space we inherit funky-old, but updating the space doesn’t mean you have to go stodgy and boring!

This fantastic lady had a colorful and bright home filled with treasures and art from all over the world, and she wasn’t about to have a boring little bathroom even though she was remodeling the space. She wanted something colorful and fun to match the rest of her home and her own vivacious personality! It needed to meet both her budget restrictions and her need for something fantastic!

We dressed up the existing clawfoot tub with a fresh grassy green color, and surrounded it with clean white subway tile so that splashing kids wouldn’t create a water problem. We laid driftwood-colored luxury vinyl planks on the floor (a great choice for budget-friendly projects but also a great aesthetic choice – you should see vinyl these days!), and painted the walls a quiet gray (Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter) so the green stayed the star. We then finished the room with a vanity perfect for the narrow space and some really fun, unexpected light fixtures.

Once the homeowner tossed in her awesome green rug and colorful towels the room was complete and instead of a shabby, neglected, inherited bathroom she has a place that is perfect for her personality! Practical, fun, and fabulous!
